About me..
So what is there to say about me? Well, I'm a 30-something mum of 2, happily married, and living in a little place called Slade Green. We're hoping to move to Dartford soon, but that's far too stressful to talk about! I work part time as a practice nurse.. although it often feels like I'm doing a weeks work in two days!
I spend far too much of my spare time sat at my computer.. I like building web sites, I run various forums, and help out at others. I have a growing interest in security.. I'm always nagging people to make sure they have the right software to protect their computers!
My other interest is reading, and that's reflected in my book forum, and the site I'm building up around it. Since starting in July '05, we have nearly 700 members, and almost 100,000 posts. It's growing a nice rate, and has some lovely members. :) We've just launched a reviews blog.. and now I'm getting addicted to WordPress! hehe
In addition to reading, I enjoy music. Favourites range from The Beatles and John Lennon through to Anastacia and Texas, and include pop, rock, and soundtracks. I have to pay some attention to the recent chart hits as both my girls enjoy their music too! Beth is quite the 'rock chick', and Amy will sing along to most songs! lol
Another enjoyment of mine is films, although at the moment it's a struggle to find time to visit the cinema, or concentrate on a DVD. I used to like horror films, although I'm not so keen any more. I enjoy certain sci-fi films, and some 'girlie' ones, such as Beaches and Dirty Dancing!
I also have very little time for the TV, but I do try to keep up with Holby, Dr Who and Desperate Housewives. My absolute favourite however, has to be Lost.. I watch the latest episode, and then race to the forums to find out all the details that are being discussed. I even download the producer's podcast! :)
